We were going to Singapore in today’s morning so we decided to find a place to fill our tummy. We were asking each others ‘Where to eat?’ and ‘What to eat?’. Almost this kind of question will be asking repeatedly by every day. Where can find a cheap, delicious and enjoy the traditional style of atmosphere to have a breakfast?

We were riding a car and wandering around to find a Kopitiam in Johor Bahru area. Suddenly, we saw this Kopitiam that suitable for us to have a breakfast here. Restaurant Otak-Otak Storia Cafe is one of the Kopitiam in Malaysia which located at Johor Bahru area that can be your choice.

When we first step into this Kopitiam, we could feel the environment that is full of Kampung style. Around 8am, this Kopitiam was already full of people to have their breakfast already. Like someone said, ‘Treat your breakfast as a King’. So, we order Kopi O, Otak-Otak, Nasi Lemak and Mee Siam. The first thing for us was to take a food photo before we started eating.

Today’s ‘Kopitiam’ Breakfast: Kopi O + Otak-Otak + Nasi Lemak + Mee Siam

The Kopi O known as coffee without milk. The coffee lover will absolutely like this Kopi O with the fragrant of real coffee taste. It depends on either you want a big or a small cup of coffee.

Really can’t describe the taste by matching the Nasi Lemak with sambal and the Mee Siam with sambal. Before you eat, you can smell the pandan leaves from Nasi Lemak. When you taste it, you will feel the taste of fresh coconut milk that cooked in Nasi Lemak.

The spicy, sweet and sour light gravy of Mee Siam can be tasted in your mouth. You may also add on with egg, fishball or any other choices of food.

The Otak-Otak here is using the fresh Spanish mackerel fish and homemade by the owners. The Otak-Otak is freshly made and baked by daily. Can’t imagine the smell and also the taste when the moment you are open and first bite of the Otak-Otak. It is how delicious and you wouldn’t regret if you try it.
